Artist Statement

Anna is a visual artist working full time from her studio at Charter Studios in Abingdon. Her work is grounded in the theme of biophilia—the innate human connection to nature—and often explores the subtle, complex relationships between people and the natural world.

Her current series of paintings focuses on the interconnection between birds and humans, exploring themes of kinship, fragility, and shared space. In these works, birds may act as metaphors for emotional states, human vulnerability, or possibly even the desire for freedom.

Anna holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the Birmingham School of Art. Her work has been exhibited at Royal Society of Painters Exhibition, Mall Galleries, London, and the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.

She is a selected member of Magdalen Road Studios in Oxford, a collective that supports professional artists, and which plays a vital role in sustaining and enriching her practice.
