An acrylic painting on canvas .This large painting of an egret measures 150cm wide.

I painted the egret on a long horizontal canvas to maximize the flying pose; all the canvas is taken up with the bird. I have made the background mottled, to make it seem like the sky.

It is a calm painting, I have used soft colours. The painting is a celebration of flight, there are no hidden messages, just pure joy.

I paint a lot of birds, but was very taken with the shape of the egret in flight. The beauty of the enormous wing span, and the ergonomic design of the feet I found particularly pleasing.

  • The cost of delivery is not included with this painting. I will give you a quote for delivery prior to purchase on request.

  • My paintings are either sent on the stretcher (as seen in the photo) and packaged between sheets of plywood, or taken off the stretcher and rolled into a tube. Either option will be with a tracked courier, and insured to the value of the artwork. I am able to ship all artworks worldwide. Artworks are dispatched within 10 days of purchase and I will update you with relevant delivery dates as much as possible
